On account of recent regulatory sanctions in Nigeria, 2019 will without doubt be a challenging year for compliance professionals. They will be contending with ever-increasing pressures from the markets in which they operate, combined with complexities raised by international cooperation on anti-corruption and compliance issues.
Given the wide array of existing laws, regulations and guidance on compliance, and the increasing focus of regulators on enforcement, we envisage practitioners placing a stronger emphasis on enhancing their knowledge base and introducing the best compliance practices within their respective organisations.
UUBO’s ICE Academy will focus strongly on knowledge delivery, providing delegates with cutting-edge information about the investigations, compliance and ethics sectors. The Academy will feature a Panel Discussion on the theme; Best Practices from the Frontline, as well as four Masterclasses where presentations will be delivered on Governance, Crisis Management, Internal Investigations and Anti-Bribery and Corruption.
The Academy, designed as a highly interactive forum, will be helmed by a carefully selected cohort of regional and international experts in the field of Investigations, Compliance and Ethics. For more information about the Faculty, click here.
